how did you get it started; (yesterdays question)? was it the crank sensor plug?
the early 4.0l engine had a rough idle; nature of the beast. you can smooth it out a little by cleaning the throttle body and getting an injector flush. assuming it has a good tune up. also run a can of BG44K or chevron techron in the gas tank. this cleans carbon deposits and will improve drivability.
