Question:
I have checked for corrossion at the battery and there is none. Battery in good shape. When i turn on the ignition i hear one click and that is it. all of the dash lights work, interior lights, head lights and radio all work. It has started fine without any problems exept for tonight. What sjould i be looking for or tell a mechanic?

Sounds like your starter is out. Take it to a mechanic.

it almost sounds like u need to replace ur starter but if ur lights work it might jus be electricalstarter
if you are sure that the battery is ok and you here a click when you try to start it and thats it, then its definitely your starter. that battery shoul read a little more than 12v when its just sitting and 13.75-14v when the car is running.

could be a faulty coil pack there are three of them on the six cylinder four on the eight not the cheapest to buy around $60 bucks give or take few. These can be checked at your autoparts dealer for free most of the time. Or it could just be the ignition module.I have serious paint oxydization on an old car, is there anything to make it shine again?
sounds like you have a bad ground connection sometimes you can just shake the ground wire and it will start good luckYour starter is out, to get it running to drive to a mechanic try hitting it with a hammer a few times then try to start it or just have it towed.
