Ford C4 3-speed Transmission? Swap for a 4 speed?

Question:
I have a '73 F-250, with a 3speed C4 auto, its been crapping out for a while, and I need to get it rebuilt or replaced with a rebuilt. Thing is, I hate the 3 speed, its terrible on the freeway running high really RPM's at 65-70 mph. is there a compatible 4 speed that I can swap it with relatively easily ? A note, the 3 on the tree shifter has been replaced with a floor shifter kit so the linkage is just straight through the floorboard not on the steering column.

I would not,you have a damn good trans.The news ones are ****.Change rear end gears,or run larger rear tires,or buy a over drive,to add on.
