Question:
My Stepdad put a new plug on top of the radiator that blew out and he drove it home.. he only filled the antifreeze once and didnt refill.. its been sitting a couple days.. i started it last night and it started smoking a little bit.. i shut it off and I saw that when i looked down into the front of the engine between the engine and the radiator there was a cord or hose (not sure) that wasnt attached to anything..My stepdad said it doesn't go to anything but I think he doesn't know what he's talking about..

i replaced clutch on my 94 ranger 2.3 engine now it squeals when clutch is depressed help?
Stepdad may be right. If the unconnected hose you saw is very thin, it could be an overflow hose, so if the antifreeze gets too hot or is overfilled the excess will drain from that hose, so you don't damage your cooling system due to excess pressure.Or I have no clue what I am talking about. But I believe that little hose is fine as it is. If it IS a little hose. If it's big, say the circumference of a cucumber, something is not right.
can i weld a small pin whole on my gas tank using MiG welding?
it coud be a main radiator hose. look for a place near the end of the hose that it could possible hook into. it could be a heat gage line/hose.transmission problems, do i need a new one?
for sure, what you see is the hose that goes from the radiator to the expantion tank, the transparent refrigerator container where you fill coolant. replace with a new one and check that the radiator plug(like tou caal'it) is the right one. it must have the release spring pressure in accordance with the car manufacturer.More Questions & Answers ...
