Check for leaks, and listen for it. It should come on when you turn the key to 'ON' (the position before ignition). You should hear it come on, it will have a light hum and go for a second or two. The sound will usually come from around the gas tank.
Did a tune up on a 88 S10 Blazer and now it won't turn over to start. Why?
Could also be a clogged fuel filter, either the "sock" type one in the tank, or the "can" one somewhere between the tank and the engine.
You probably need a new solenoid switch on the starter or need to replace brushes and bushings. In other words, buy a starter kit.Have it installed by certified tech or mechanic.
Sounds like your fuel pump is going out, but if it tries starting and it just doesn't turn over then most likely your alternator isn't getting enough charge and you want to buy a new one...
It depends on where you live and what temp it is. I am in Wisconsin and it is cold out(I think the high temp yesterday was 5 degrees Fahrenheit). If you had the same cold conditions you may need gas line antifreeze(heet or drygas) because of water condensation in your gas and it may freeze in the fuel lines. You may want to try a new battery. I had about the same problem starting my 91 toyota with the 22RE motor and replacing the starter fixed it. Some advice, if you have the 22RE and have to replace the starter, replace the fuel filter too because its easier to replace the fuel filter with the starter removed
any ideas on how to fix indicators?
