What would happen if you mix nitrogen gas and normal air into car tyres?
Pep Boys doesn't really tend to screw people over. I'd trust them if I were you.Does any one if the 2006 ford stx has some sort of ...?
But I'd question on why temperature increase is caused by the fuel pump - that doesn't sound right to me!
You should take it to a REAL mechanic that will scan it and check other things on it. Fuel pump is only a possibility at this point.
Why do i need to keep adding clutch fluid to my 97 camaro.?
A thermostat will not cause an engine to stall, it only controls the flow of coolant within the engine. You say that the gauge only goes to half-way so that would mean that the thermostat is opening fine and not causing overheating. The fact that the stalling occurs when the gauge is at halfway is irrelevant.
Do you have a !!Sears or does Sears havea you.?
Neither. My 95 cavalier it runs fine but myt dash lights come on and go out?
Take it to a REAL mechanic.
The backseat of my car is soaking wet?
A thermostat will not cause a car to stall. Especially not 1/2 way up the temp gauge. If the thermostat was really bad, the engine would overheat, and if you kept driving it in the red zone, maybe I could see it "stalling" but honestly by then the engine would be toast.PUG306 , 51reg cabbie, dials frozen, fuel & no lcd trip.?
A fuel pump that is going out, can indeed work well while cool and then start loosing power as it heats up. I'm not saying the diagnosis is definitely correct, because I don't know if they checked things like fuel pressure at the rail, and, if they tried a new fuel filter first, but the fuel pump does make logical sense.
What would cause my 04 Ford Focus to handle horribly?
If it were my car:
1993 Accord EX shakes badly on idle, even after tune up was done!?
1. assuming the fuel filter wasn't just replaced, have it replaced. it should be done about every few years/30000 to 50000 miles, depending on how you believe. a plugged one will make the pump work really hard, heating it up.
1990 Silverado PU transmission shifter linkege problem?
2. check fuel pressure right after a failure (stall) if at all possible. if low, its the pump. if not low, i'd start thinking about electrical issues like coil packs instead of fuel.
Good luck!

I would say it is just a coincidence on the movement of the temp gauge. Pep Boys has mixed reviews but in general are good mechanics
take it to the dealer and have a professional diagnostic test done. they will tell you exactly what is wrong without the guess work. usually cost about $75 for this but if you start replacing parts just guessing what is wrong you can easily spend several hundred and you may still never find the problem.
Some newer cars actually don't let the engine rev high if the car has overheated. If you've got a temperature problem then you're best bet (if you're sure that it's full of coolant and water and there are no leaks in the system) is to replace the thermostat. I hate those things because they cause so many problems so often. It's normally a quick fix and doesn't cost much. That's what I'd try first. You're problem doesn't sound like a fuel pump problem right off the bat. It might be that you have two problems, overheating and a bad fuel pump, but first make sure that it's not just the thermostat, as it's the cheapest thing to replace.
What is wrong with my left rear strut?
i tell you what i would do.i would change the thermostat(for all it cost) and then see if it still does it.you wont be out very much by changing it and who knows,it might take care of your problem, but iam kinda like the others said,a thermostat wont make your car stall.sounds more to like its fuel problems, like gas filter.More Questions & Answers ...
