A cast alloy is going to be fairly porous which allows the rust lots of places to grab and hold to. Its not gonna be easy, but go to the auto parts store and get a couple cans of good penetrating lube. spray the parts be generous and let sit and soak. respray and soak until they come apart. be prepaired they may not come apart.

if its really bad get a torch and heat it up. you didn't say what kind of part or if you could put a wench on it. put some wd-40 or liquid wench on it let it soak clean it off and try the torch. if you don't have a torch try heating some water to the boiling point and see if that works. good luck kiddo

I use Tasgon Green. It comes in a squirt can and is a smelly dark petroleum product that is great at slithering in between stuck parts to free them. Squirt some on, tap the parts with a mallet to get some wiggle room, and then let it sit there for about 15 minutes before you try to separate them.

First try "liquid wrench". Spray it on, let it set, then try to unloosen.
If that doesn't work, get a small propane torch, (about $10 at Home Depot), heat bolt, let cool, heat nut (of area around bolt), and try loosening. The heat/cool expands/contracts bolt to threaded hole/nut, breaking rust loose.
