A/C Compressor shuts off during hard acceleration in 2007 Honda Civic EX?

Question:
I just got this car 2 weeks ago. I notice if I accelerate hard, a few seconds afterward, the air from the vents get slightly warmer for a few seconds. Is this normal? My old Civic didn't do this.

I caused a short from installing a amplifier to my radio now my speedometer doesnt work how do i fix it?

Thanks for any input!

Help w/oil pressure?

Yes they do that by design. The reason is two fold.
A/C uses power from the engine so when you are flooring it, the AC will shut off to give you a little extra power.
Also, the AC is not meant to operate at high rpms. Since it is driven off of a belt attached to the engine, it spins at whatever rpm your engine is spinning.. So when you rev it up higher, the AC spins too fast and it will shut off to prevent damage.

K&N oil contaminates mass air flow sensor...?

It is designed to do this. It gives the engine back the 4-5 HP that the A/C compressor draws, and allows you to accelerate to the best of the car's ability.

How can I test a fuel pump in a 97 Chevy Express Van?

I have noticed this too. I think HOnda does that to give you more engine power when you really need it. I wouldn't worry unless the AC doesn't get cold again.
