On my 2004 Dodge Stratus I thought something was wrong with the transmission. there still maybe I don't know. The car would jerk sometimes going up hill, someone had said that the trans filter maybe clogged. I changed the filter and fluid and it dosen't seem to be doing it yet. I also put a new set of plugs in, the car has 45,000 miles on it. But I noticed when I had the car running in park and I rev up the engine to about 3500 rpm that it starts to cut out. it's like a miss fire or something. It seems to have a low idle also about 700 in drive?? I didn't notice when I was having the jerking problem what rpm I was at. Any ideas??

Need to log in to the computer and get a fuel pressure gage on it. If it is a repeatable cut out at 3500 RPM it will show up big time right there. On any Chrysler Product

I suspect it is fuel as you report no "Check Engine" light on the dash. Bad plug wires usually throw a missfire code and light up that light.
If you lack the equipment as most people do seek a shop before you break a piston. Misfire/cutouts are harmful to engine internals.

You didn't give enough info to figure out the problem, but it may be the fuel pump. Test your fuel pressure while going up that same hill.Can you replace the wheel bearings on a 92 Dodge Stealth (front. 3.0L SOHC, auto)?
As for the cutting out at 3500rpm. Your car is smart and it knows if you are in park/neutral so it limits the RPM electronically.

Well, it sounds like the car jerking problem was solved by changing the your transmission fluid and filter. That's good.ABS light coming on ,car wont start?
As far as revving to 3500 RPM's...umm...don't do that!? Of course it's going to limit it electronically...are you trying to blow it up?

700 rpm in drive is about right. You might want to check a service manual to be sure, but if the car isn't vibrating then I'm sure that's where it's supposed to idle.
