torque on a bull gear for a detroit engine?
sorry to be negative but you have discovered the pit fall of trying to buy cheep at an auction, the car is probably a high mileage rep mobile that is worn out, even if you spent the money to repair your current faults that will not be the end of it, these cars tend to go from one problem to the next. My advice would be to clean it up and stick back into the auction, even if you loose some money you will still be better of in the long run.why is my car overheating when idling? new details added?
sounds like you bought a typical auction car ie ,its been clocked, the passat tdi is usually bullet proof unless its done mega high miles which i suspect yours has,in my opinion id put it back in a auction and cut my losses ,let someone else have the hassle. You won't like this, but to be honest your engine is kaput, what with a dud turbo, blue smoke from excessive oil usage due to wear, leaking oil etc. . .
all the sudden car overheated and the idle increased. temp outside dropped to15 1994 4-runner?
Whatever you do isn't going to be cheap in the end, I'm afraid. You could try for a replacement engine from a breaker, if you want, but even that isn't going to be cheap to change.
Might be easier in the long run to lick your wounds and get rid of it, like the previous owner did!
Can I replace my car window that popped out?
The Passat engine should be good for about 200,000 miles. Sounds like you bought a dog. Back to the auction if I was you.Its where I used to get rid of my old bangers.
2003 Tahoe will not start...PLEASE HELP!?
I'm sure you can get a turbo cheaper than that from the scrapyard. And burning oil/blue smoke will probably be worn piston rings, which wouldn't cost too much if you do yourself. It's worth fixing up as those TDi's really are bulletproof when they're looked after. The interior glass fogs up when I turn on the heater in my 97 Mercedes c-280?
Sounds like you have bought a money pit , clean it up and put it back though the same auction , some loss is better than a big oneHow can I drain the gas out of a 95 GEO METRO?
there is only one way to cure a leak and that is find the problem and replace or repair the damaged part i wouldnt pour money into those potions and lotions to cure the leak as they inveribly cause more hassle than they are worth i would reccomend getting a mechanic to look at the problem and quote yo on cost then decide which route to take whetrher it may be a knackered turbo or a leaking seal or piston ring etc etcMore Questions & Answers ...
