Car problems?

Transmission fluid temperature on my RV runs around 175 F. When in town with stop & go driving during summer, it sometimes goes to 250 F. That is approaching the danger zone. Top temperature without ruining the fluid is 275 F. If temps go above 250 F, I suggest pulling off and running engine at fast idle to cool transmission down.

do ignitions freeze up in a car after it sits for 18 hours outside? Even though I did go out and start it, bu?

About 200-225 is normal, and anything over 265 should be something for concern.
