Question:
I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee and whenever i apply my brakes, there is a clicking/popping noise coming from my rear passenger brake. There is also a whirling sound whenever i drive. I had brakes put on a couple of months ago and i don't think that is the problem. I had someone look at it and he said that a spring was worn out and it is not doing it's job and is causing the spring to click against the rotor. It's driving me nuts. I'm going to have it looked at today but just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem before. What is the average price to have a rotor turned/replaced by a mechanic (that's what i think the problem is)? Thanks in advance

1998 Toyota Camry will not start?
If you have disc brakes in the rear the only spring in the system is an emergency brake cable return spring. I doubt the rubbing hurt the caliper at all. Have a mechanic check the rear cables and return springs.a new rotor will be about an hour labor. figure about 150 max. i didnt know that cherokees had four wheel disc brakes though. i assumed the rear wheels were drums.
Hi everyone,i am having a issue with my 85 blazer transmission?
If the rotor was not turned right it will cause the click sound u ar hearing also if the new break pads were but on with out anti rattle pads u could be hearing the pads rattle. I have seen this happen many times working at a parts store an as a brake repair service tech. this can also happen on drum brakes all springs should be replaced with each brake jobCan anyone tell me how to reset the airbag warning light on a ford KA year 2000?
Be careful! THIS COULD cause heating at the brakes which could cause the brake fluid to boil and become uselessMore Questions & Answers ...
