What is the best way to get oxidation, tree sap off your car?
If it isn't functioning at all, it is probably the sending unit. If the engine is overheating or taking forever to warm up, you need a new thermostat.sensor is the sending unit, check the wiring
Angle for a swivel wheel? Phsics and computer pros please help.?
Use a voltmeter on the wire to the sensor. It should read 12V when disconnected. When connected, the hotter the engine, the lower the voltage. The gauge will have 12V going to one terminal and the other terminal will go to the sensor. If the wire to the sensor touched ground, it could have blown the gauge, but they're usually sturdier than that.
