Brakes on car seized up. help?

Question:
My partner hasn't drove his car for the last 6 week. When he cam to start it yesterday battery was dead. We charged it up and got it started, but we cant move the car, it seems like the brakes have seized up, maybe it the handbrake with it being left on for 6 weeks.

4WD truck, would the wrong size tires on the front end cause a problem in the transfer case ?

Can anybody give me any advice what to try has trying to reveres oout of garage is just burning the clutch out.

You need to pull the wheels off and inspect the brakes. I don't know if you have drums, discs, or both, but for drums, you can hit them with a hammer a few good times to knock
them free, and on discs, take the caliper bolts loose and remove the caliper from the disc. Use emery cloth to clean any surface rust that may be binding the pads. Also, check to make sure the E-brake cable isn't bound up in some way. Good luck!

You need to rock it backwards and forwards with forward and reverse gears. If this doesn't work, give it a shove with another car!

Have to get the wheels off I'm afraid and give the drums a good clout with a hammer to 'shock' the brake shoes loose! Take handbrake off first though coz you'll be there for a month otherwise

emergency brake is probably stuck. on one of my cars, i used to reach under the car to the cable and yank on it. the pivoting mechanism used to get stuck. if your mechanism is jammed, just unjam it by pulling on it. be sure to treat it with a lubricant.
