I've had my car a year its a 93 honda civic. It just recently starting overheating and i don't know why. I've checked everthing for leaks and nothing. Well I went to my local auto parts store and bought a thermostat and it didn't fit. When i went to go take the old thermostat out it wasn't in there lol. so yeah that just sucked. So i lose anti-freeze but i can't find a leek. It overheats when i drive anywhere! I think its a relay or something or my fan motor i don't think its the water pump or a head gasket. Well if anyone has any advice just tell me thank you

the thermostat housing is at the inlet hose below and to the passenger side of the intake manifold [there is normally a computer ground wire close by and if left disconnected the car won't run. replace the thermostat and o-ring seal then fill and bleed system [the bleeder screw is on the water outlet at cyl headthis will probably take care of your troubles unless you have a head gasket failure. note if cooling system is not properly bled it will continue to overheat and you could be badly scalded if you are not careful

it needs a thermostat. your fans should come on when you're @ or ^ op temp. There is a coolant temp switch and a fan relay(most likely the problem)Why do men think women know nothing about cars?
Bad Thermostat or its in wrong...Head Gasket ....or a leak some whereget a thermostat for it and check your fan.

sounds bad. the antifreeze is going somewhere....have a garage pressure test it...is your oil foamy white? you need the thermostat to run right.....Why do you think it not the water pump or head gasket? do you have some secret knowledge.... check the fans. should b running when its hot...you need a pro to look at it before u cook the motor...YOU PLEASE,CHANGE THAT RADIATOR CAP !
