what is the best black dye for auto trim and bumpers?
I have the exact same problem. I spray de-icer inside the door where the door would latch to the frame. Give it about thirty seconds maybe a minute and viola. It should shut. Good Luckbattery light comes on for a few seconds when driving?
sounds like the lock/latch is frozen, and when it thaws it works properly.Get some wd-40 and spray the latching mechanism. Work the door by opening and shutting it. When it seems to work better use some white lithium grease and lube the latch. There is probably some rust and moisture in the door latch. use the wd-40 to remove the miosture and rust and the white lithium grease is to keep the moisture and rust from coming back. You can get both items at any autoparts store. It will only cost you about ten dollars.
i own a repair shop, and its just the latch that needs free,d up on it,,a little wd-40 will help with that,,its a common problem with some cars ,,good luck,i hope this help,s.
I have a 99f150 and after 5 days of rain it just cranks up on its own with out a key, any help?
On the bottom of the door, you will find weep holes make sure their open so moisture can drain out of door. Spray WD 40 inside the door, using the straw that comes with it. Go between the window and rubber seal and spray, spray in the opening around the door latch, spray in the opening around the door hinges. This will keep moisture from freezing and jamming the lock. Make sure window is up when spraying, or you will have oil all over the glass.Well it could be that you have a stick door latch.
after you have the car in heat for 10 min try spraying a little lube or some WD-40 on the door latch and open and shut the door a few times and see what happens.
what are the four main functions of a transmission?
well...alot of people already gave you the right answer with the wd-40 and the white lithium grease(get the spray grease..you'll be way less frusterated), but you could always do the redneck thing and bungee-strap it shut. It's really cool and chics dig bungee strapsMore Questions & Answers ...
