i had it in the shop for a 15 point inspection the day before this happend. we traveled about 100 miles away from home no probs on the way there all of a sudden half way home in the middle of nowhere iowa the oil pressure light came on and then the engine stalled what could have caused this i get my oil done every 3000 miles if anyone could help that would be great

Sounds like bad news, a seized engine.Did the auto shop forget to put oil in? Check your oil level first.
Another cause could be a broken oil pump. But whatever, it sounds real expensive, I'm afraid.

Do you trust the shop that you had the work done at?Seems strange that the problem happened just after they worked on it. Open the oil fill cap and see if it looks like brown cheesy goo on the bottom of the cap. Could be that the intake manifold leaked coolant into the oil. If that's the case it's expensive.
