Air compressor 1995 Oldsmobile LSS?

i own a shop and the 5 w- 30 is a little thinner oil that's all the difference in it and yes you can mix it if you have to, but its better to stay with the same weight of oil if possible ,but it wont hurt to mix it,10-w-30 is just a little bit thicker, and holds up a little better ,but between the two of those ,there's not enough difference to hurt anything, good luck with it i hope this helps.

How can I find the oil capacity for my car? I don't have the manual.?

Basically, a 5W-30 oil flows like a lite 5 weight oil when it's cold and a heavier 30 weight oil when it's warm.

What's exactly done and what things get replaced in a tune up?

A 10W-30 flows like a 10 weight oil when it is cold and a 30 weight when it is warm.

Where can I find euro headlights and tail lights for an Oldmosbile Alero?

I would not mix them for cold weather and only for a very short time (1 week) in the summer and then only if absolutely necessary.

The lights on my car look dry and not shiny anymore how can i make them look like new again?

the differnce between both oils is that one is thicker than the other and I dont recommend that you mix them together it could hurt your engine you need to speak to a mechanic on this matter.

I just bought a 90 Chevy 1500 4x4. the original 5.7 engine was swapped w/ a 98 5.7. is this engine OK for tbi?

You can mix it, Then you will have 7.5 W 30

What is the fluid for the auto transmission for?

well.....I don,t own my own shop & I don,t push haynes manual,s.....but I,ve been a mechanic for over 40 year,s......the truth about multigrade motor oil,s is that they [ the american petrolium institute.. A.P.I. ] take a standard 30 weight oil & add an emulsifier [ detergent ] & a chemical catalist to make 10w 30...it,s not heavier or thicker..it only mean,s it flow,s as well as 10weight in cold weather & protect,s as well as a 30weight in hot weather.this catalist is what causes multigrade oil,s to be more versitile..the down side is that they tend to be more consumable [ you will burn it off more readilly]..yes it can be mixed..but why would you.it is available in many viscosity combination,s..the differance you ask about is that the 5w30 will flow better at a colder temperature than the 10w30.they both protect the same at hot temperature,s...hope this clairify,s your question. by the way the S.A.E. you see preceding the weight specification stand,s for sociaity of automotive engineer,s.
