I was driving and noticed that truck shifted hard. Then when I went to pull away from stop sign I couoldnt adjust the amount of clutch I was giving. Stopped at a gas station, now truck won't go into gear at all. It is there, I am stumped. Change whole clutch system or could it be something simple?

Torque for intake manifold bolts?
Sounds like you system is out of hydraulic clutch fluid. If so fill it back up and pump the peddle a few times and look under the truck and see if the fluid is leaking from the clutch housing. I have seen several of these leak from the slave cylinder on the transmission input shaft.Radiator Fan/ Radiator Problems! Help!?
I have your problem diagnosed: It's a Ford. What are the rules on "Pimp my ride?"?
you may have a hydrolic clutch check the fluid in the slave cylenderi ran over a curb, is my tire ok?
crawl under the truck and see if all the pieces are there. If you have a lot of miles the throwout bearing may have gone through the fingers on the pressure plate. That means a new pressure plate, clutch, and bearing probably a thousand if you get a high priced mech. You have to pull the pumpin and tranny. I don't know if the clutch is hydraulic. If it is then it may mean new master cylinder or a slave cylinder. Should be cheaper.Has anyone had a miracle lately?... Like when?
You could have a problem with the clutch slave cylinder. Check your clutch fluid, if it is low or empty, you may just need to change the master cylinder or slave cylinder. If it was shifting fine before, it is not very serious. Also check your clutch pedal linkage.More Questions & Answers ...
