What should my tire pressure be?

Question:
I have an 06' F250 with stock 275/65/20 tires. It seems to ride really rough what should the tire pressure.

Answers:

Any idea what's wrong with my car?

You don't have 275/65/20 sized tires, you have LT275/65R20 E-load range tires. On your vehicle these require 65 psi front, 70 psi rear according to Ford. If you don't inflate them that high the tire will not have enough load carrying capacity which could result in tire failure.

This inflation pressure information is in your trucks owners manual and also on a metal placard on the drivers side door or door frame. This pressure applies to ANY LT275/65R20 E-load tire ever built by any manufacturer.

Try looking on the drivers door frame. It should be listed there. I would take a guess at 50 lbs in the front and 80 in the rear. However if you are mostly driving with and empty box (no Load) then try 50 front and 50 rear. But remember to re-inflate when you have a load on.

It's not abnormal for your ride to be rough, because your tire's profile is so low. Bigger rims = rougher rides. Look at your side door panel, it should say the correct pressure. It's usually 30 - 35 psi.
