I just googled "free auto manuals" and got a bunch of hits. The other thing you can do is check your local public libraries on-line to see if they carry the manual you need. If it is at a different branch than the local library, it can be delivered to your branch for you to check out.

A 'general' observation: Heater cores are typically one of the more difficult parts to replace on an automobile, but not always. For example, some Chevy Suburbans have the core behind the glove box and can be replaced in an hour. Other vehicles require that the entire dash board be removed, and this is more typical. I have replaced heater cores on vans that come out as a 'module' and are not too hard. But overall, this is a job left to a shop.
