Auto A/C install?

Question:
My s10 has a busted,hacked A/C system and I want to install all new.There isnt any refridgerant because a line is cut.Is there any info on how to put in a new one available?I cant afford a garage.I can certainly handle the install of the components but cant seem to find info on how to charge it up when new.Theres talk about compressor oil and refrigerants.What? where?I have all the necessary tools including the high low guages.Help!

If the line is cracked with the system ran long enough the refrigerant will have been evacuated. You could replace the line yourself and have a shop charge the system. I wouldn't do it yourself its too easy to overcharge the system or if there is moisture in it it will freeze and block the line. The system needs to be evacuated and charged by a tech after you make the repair.
