Need help unplugging male and female wire harness plugs.. they are FROZEN!?

Question:
I'm trying to remove a distributor out of a 1995 honda civic. Part of the procedure involves disconnecting male and female wireharness plugs and one of the plugs are simply frozen shut. I've tried seperating them with pliers,, brute force and they barely budge. Is there any secret to getting these things to come apart? I'm holding down the release at the end of the connector so I know there shouldn't be anything stopping it from comming apart. The car is however 12 years old.. but the other two plugs came apart pretty easy.. need some help.

Get some electrical point and contact cleaner. I am not familiar with Hondas, but there may be "ears" on the male plug that need to be depressed before the plugs can be separated. If you can't get them to come apart, you may have to cut the wires and install new plugs. Try anything you can think of before doing this, though.
