2004 GMC serria...speedometer goes crazy...?

Sometimes sticks at 30 when turned off... sometimes works fine then again it may show 110 when traveling 65 then may stop working at all together... seems to act up most of the time when the cab is warm from heater or sun...any ideas???

that is a common problem to those clusters. The little stepper motor that drives the speedometer if probably going bad.
