Drain it and refill with power steering fluid. The two are not compatible.Ive locked my keys in the car 30th time?
An explosion. What is wrong with my car? Timing belt?
I have done it before. Nothing happened to my car..About how much will it cost for new front & rear brakes on my 2005 Honda accord?
One way to find out, do nothing and wait to see what happens, worst, leaks. If it were me, I would drain and change the fluid asap, because of seal failure. Most cars use about a quart of fluid in the steering, so the mix is about 33/1, not good!Where can I buy Naval Jelly rust dissolver in England?
DOT brake fluid is very good solent and will destroy paint and yes, rubber that is not specifically designed for exposure to it. My suggestion would be to drain, flush and refill the system to remove all traces of the stuff.Completely drain and fluch your power steering system as the DOT 3 brake fluid will damage all the rubber components in your steering system, first the rubber will sweel making it weak, the the seals will burst due to the pressure in you power steering system.
No harm will be done this is an old remedy for leaking seals.
