My car won't go anywher, any ideas to what's wrong?
Make sure u have checked all around ur brakes first 4 leaks, as its a waste of time and money if u do all this and it is leaking because it won't bleed properly. All fine then top up the master cylinder if req'd,one person in car one bleeding brakes. Start by putting a small amount of fluid in jar 2 prevent air returning back up tube in2 system, put tube on nipple after fitting spanner 2 nipple or put tube on and run spanner down tube, then put other end of tube in2 jar but in2 fluid. There r different ways people use 2 bleed their brakes, basically the person in the car pumps pedal a few times till any pressure is felt, get the person 2 hold foot hard 2 floor as u open the nipple it will let fluid and air escape and brake pedal goig flat 2 floor unless it hasnt b4, make sure u tell the person not 2 let pedal up untill after u have tightened nipple and said so. repeat again until air is all out, u should know as u ask person helping if pedal is getting harder, otherwise give 2 or 3 pumps at bleeding each side but ask other person 2 keep an eye on the master cylinder level and top up if needed to the fill line. If brakes feel slightly better after bleeding then repeat process and it should b ok after the next bleed, if not and all 4 wheel sides r all dry then u may have a leak on the master cylinder, if this is leaking although u can repair them its best and far safer 2 fit new as its ur main part of ur brakes, depending on how ur master cylinder is fitted with our without servo U either check from under dash or around the back of the cylinder which may have 2b removed but u will only do this as a last resort as all is working then its got 2b the master cylinder. Good luck.

The bleed nipples are on the back of the slave cylinders located at the back of the wheel hubsMore Questions & Answers ...
