Please help with a 1990 Jeep Cherokee problem?

Question:
The jeep will start just fine but when it warms up on the highway it will start to hesitate and I have to keep my foot on the gas hard to make it run. I replaced all the spark plugs, wires, roter and cap and also the fuel filter but that did not help. If any one can help I really need it. Thanks.

What can I do to adjust the striker on my car door panel?

Sounds like vapour lock in the fuel system. Follow the fuel lines That run closest to the motor and make sure that they are not touching the exhaust or engine block. Did you have a fuel pressure check done? If it only does it when hot chances are the ignition isn't the problem.

Will a 4.6 engine fit where a 5.4 comes out 1997 f150?

That year has a very difficult and oddball ignition system. Sounds like bad module or coil, but I think there is an optical sensor that also gives it alot of fits, either way they are a nightmare and I have seen two occasions where mechanics were baffled by 1990 Jeep ignitions. I strongly suggest bringing it to an experienced Jeep technician.

it could be the coil getting hot and breaking down.

1984 civic with coolant problem?

An often overlooked problem for this type of power loss/slowing down at highway speeds, is the catalytic converter. They start getting plugged up after years of normal driving, and while it may still run and drive fairly well at slow speeds, pressure backs up at higher speeds, preventing the free flow of exhaust gases.

What is causing this sound?

Sooo, that may be the problem, any shop can put a gage in the exhaust before the converter and tell you rather fast if it is going bad...
