It all comes down to how old the Saturn is (I assume it is off warranty?) and who you trust to do the job right. At Saturn, you would expect them to be very familiar with the issues related to the timing chain, and so should be able to do the job correctly in less time.
Of course, on my two last visits to my Saturn dealer, I had an issue with the replacement of my wiper assembly (They chipped the paint putting one side in, and left the radio disconnected when they had to remove the dash cover) and on my recent oil change they forgot to reset the CHANGE OIL button. So you can get bad service even at the dealer...
