Battery is first. After that check to see if the engine is getting fuel; pump the gas pedal a few times, then check to see if you smell gas under the hood. If so, probably not some thing simple (coil, starter, fuel pump or 1/2 dozen other reasons)

Turn on the lights and try to start the car. do the lights dim drastically? Not enough juice.
Check the out put of the alternator also. It could be that it is not charging the battery properly.
Get the battery replaced under waranty if the alternator is working ok.
