I own a1995 auto. Camero - Problem, can't get gear shift out of park in the morning. By afternoon its fine.

Question:
The button you push down to shift, is like its frozen and will not go down, but as soon as it gets warmer it works. I have taken it to 3 mechanics that think I'm nuts. I do pull the emergency brake up before putting it into park, so its not torque lock. Is there anyone out there who can help ?

it's probably just cold.
start your car like 10 minutes before you leave then go back inside and finish getting ready.
when you go out to leave your car will be warmed up and ready to go.
it can really ruin your engine if you start it and drive right away when it's cold outside..
