Renault Laguna Sluggish?

Question:
My mark 1 renault laguna has been sat outside for the last 3 months or so, now it needs an MOT so i can sell it. Ive managed to get it started and it ticks over OK. As soon as i try and give it any throttle the engine responds sometimes but more often than not cuts out.
Ive replaced the spark plugs, changed the fuel and air filters, drained the fuel tank and put a couple of gallons of fresh fuel in it along with half a bottle of redex and im still getting problems. Im tearing my hair out over this one!
Any ideas?

does anyone know were the clutch fluid reservoir is on a volkswagon sharan?

Could be that your drawing in air through a seal on the throttle housing when you press the throttle, check the gaskets and rubber hoses. Had this myself, though it was on a Peugeot.
