What is the reason you keep replacing it. Does it crack for no apparent reason? What kind of car and engine?I find this a little hard to believe, I haven't seen any significant trend towards more windshield breakage. As far as your question, unless you're getting cheap aftermarket knockoff replacements, the best glass you're going to get is an OEM (original equipment manufacturer, glass from a dealer, or a wrecked car) glass from your car. Can you elaborate on what kind of breakage you're getting? Stone chips, random cracks from nowhere, etc? Stone chips are pretty obvious, avoid stones. If you're having random cracking etc you may have some other factors like rapid temperature change, poor installation, bad quality aftermarket glass, etc.
wow 4 of them, that doesn't sound right to me. id try calling a different glass guy or even a good body shop, there might be a miss-alignment some were causing windsheild to break. hope this helps

It sounds like the frame needs to stiffened up. Cars and trucks in general are being made cheaper and cheaper. I did have a similar problem with a 89 Mustang GT where after a chip the windshield would crack all the way across. I fixed it by tieing the frames together and adding a strut tower brace.More Questions & Answers ...
