Question:
What could be the problem? My car doesn't start when the weather is hot. I've had a new alternator, starter, and battery put in. It also doesn't start when I drive it a while, and continuously stop at places and start it back up. It just clicks when I try to start it. What should I do?

You didn't specify the type of vehicle. I had this happen on my 88' Ford Mustang. Same thing. When it was hot it would not start and after a little while of running errands it would die (like it was out of gas) and not crank. In my instance it was the TFI module (ignition module) being factory placed next to the intake on the 5.0 model. A recall finally offered a relocation for it. Either way, just an experience I had.Sounds like probably "vapor lock" bad gas can be the cause. Try putting some good gas treatment in the gas tank. Any good auto parts store will have it. on the older cars, and You dint say how old Yours was, sometimes a bad ignition coil will do the same thing.
How to put a streeing colum on?
What kind of car do you have? This problem is sometimes called "vapor lock" where the gasoline vaporizes inside the gas line. It happens when the gas line is too close to some hot part of the car, like an exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe or muffler.Suggest you get under the car and see if your fuel line is close to anything hot. Check also the fuel pump pressure as the fuel comes into the engine compartment. If the pressure is too low, or too high, replace the fuel pump. Check or replace any fuel pressure regulator. If the pressure is OK, try wrapping the fuel line with a spiral plastic cable to help with heat dissipation. Check carefully to see if you are getting liquid fuel or vaporized fuel at the injectors or carburetor.
