It is nasty though and will leave you with a nice gooey mess to play with. And really, it isn't very cheap when you think about it, but it works REALLY good.
to remove as in a mar/transfer mark:

lacquer thinner, paint thinner, acetone (be careful, can soften the paint), should wipe away any spray paint, house paint or transfer paint from another vehicle, pole or building. just apply wax after wards.
to remove from car as in to remove it:
you can get into chemical strippers that will literally run the paint off the car in a matter of minutes. can DA sand it down to bare metal. can have it bead blasted.

Off of what? You or the car? Chemical strippers are the fastest, but they are the messiest, costliest and the most toxic.
