Anyone have parts stolen from your car when in for repair?

Question:
Just found out that while my vehicle was in for repair, they most likely switched batteries on me.I can't prove it because the old battery is disposed of already. The battery I had in was only 2 years old,my mechanic said the one he removed was alot older than that.I had the vehicle at another shop about a month before.
I feel so taken advantage of.Has this happened to anyone else?Is this something that happens frequently?

This CAN happen at small garages. Not likely at dealers though. small garages have to supervision of the mechanics.

Why would I be getting zero compression in 3 cylinders? Is it the head gasket or is my timing way off?

Depends on the garage... More likely in your back street garage. I had a mate who worked in one who used to do stuff like that all the time. Stealing CD's and tapes was also rife...
