1995 Hydaui Accent (Tranmission)?

Okay, so im a chick i dont know much about cars but when i drive my car for a while, (when it gets hot) it will stop going in drive. it goes in reverse, 1st and 2nd gear and will go in drive a not switch gears, you press the gas and it just revs up? what is this, will i have to replace the whole transmission or just get a flush and filter change or what

i own a shop and when it first started doing this you should have checked the transmission fluid in it, it might have been low on it,if you have drove it much and it slipping like this it may be to late to save it,id take it to a transmission mechanic and see what they say about it,it may have to be re-built ,it sounds like its going out,and if so it will go the rest of the way out on it,good luck with it i hope this helps,
