I am buying a used navigator and I cant find a good deal on a black one so I am looking at a red, silver,green, blue so how much would it cost me to get a black paint job put over that so its a black navigator?

You don't mask the chrome, you remove it. Doors come off and are stripped. the hood and the trunk lid come off. The interior is stripped. The engine is not pulled, but is stripped to the block.

i own a repair shop,and changing the color on it would make the job cost more,,but id say probably around 3500 to paint it and change the color of it,there's a lot of work that goes in to changing the color of a vehicle,,and black to most people is a hard color to paint,,for me it isn't,,i like shooting black,,but most other shops don't,,but that's about an average price for that job,,good luck hope this help,s,happy new years.

3500 sounds fair for a good job. Problem is when you paint a car a totally different color, the door jams, engine bay and little nooks and crannies usually don't, or costs a lot. Just be patient and find a black one.
