Why does my 97 Camry fog up so badly?

It seems like no matter what settings we try with the defroster, the windows and windshield fog up like crazy! The inside of the windshield also frosts occasionally. Why does this happen? How can we fix it?

i own a repair shop,and there are two possibilities on that,one would be the heater core leaking on it,,and another one would be you have a leak in the car,,and its letting rain water in,,and when it gets cold the glass will draw the moisture right to it,,you might want to check the carpet,,and see if it feels damp,or wet,,if it is you will need to find the leak,as long as there's any water in it at all,it will do this,,and a bad heater core,will leave a greasy like film on the windshield,,if you don't have this,,you probably have a small leak in the car,,maybe around a door or window,,it don't take much water to cause this,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Mild Irritation is correct, there is a pin hole either in your heater core (a minitrature radiator) under your dash or a pinhole in a hose going to it.
When your engine gets hot it makes steam which fogs up your windows. eventually youll get low on water in your radiator and the car engine will overheat

sounds to me like you got a heater core leaking.if thats what it is,then all you can do is by-pass it(which you wont have any heat)or change the heater core.
