i askeda question before about my car not starting ihad my battery check my alternator checked they are fine i put a used starter in the car started right up and ran great for three days now its doing the same thing it wont start everything else in the car works the lights radio but when i turn the key i just hear one clunk thats it then sometimes it will start anyone know what else it could be?

What kind of car is it?.. It could be the ignition switch, or you bought a bum starter.it is the starter, buy a new one and not a used one.

sounds like a battery with a low charge, it has enough power to operate all the small loads, but the starter is by no means a small load. try charging the battery back up, leave it on a slow charge over night. if this works, have the charging system retested. you may also have a parasitic drain ,something that drains the battery even when the key is off. let me know what you find out, i am curious.How much would it cost to fix a dent above the back wheel of my car? its about 6 inches long??
