BMW E46 Ci question?

Question:
the AC starts everytime i start the engine! even if i trun the AC off before turning off the engine.

Avalon 2000 Engine Noise?

I've had this issue since i bought the car from the dealer in 1999 (brand new). is this common to all E46 BMW's? or is it just my car! what can i do to fix it.

Replaced the Radiator on my accord last week, and this week the water pump failed. Are they related?

Do you have the system set to defrost? That will also turn the air on. I think if you set it to recirculate, it may run the A/C as well.
