What do you do if your muffler is leaking gas? Is it repairable? Will it be expensive? Why does it leak gas?

i own a repair shop,and mufflers don't leak gas,,they leak gas fumes ,from burnt gas,,but if its got a hole in it,,you,ll need to have it replaced ,there's no repairing them at all just replace it,and be done with it,,good luck,hope this help,s.,happy new years.

i doubt it's gas it's most likely water which is normal but if it is gas your pretty much screwed you could have a broken head gasket.
