I get so sad when my car stops behaving. :(
Does anyone know of an inexpensive scan tool to reset the engine light on a 1995, C280 Mercedes?
It's a 1990 Honda Accord. Everything is fine for the first few minutes of driving. Let's say I then come to a stop, the light turns green, so I start down on the accellerator. The car will act normally until I hit this certain spot on the accellerator, then the car makes a putt putt sound and feels like it might die. I can either let off and coast or push harder on the accellerator to stop the putt putt sound. I'm worried that this workaround will only work for a couple more days.
No check engine light is on. It does this with the heat on and off; both during the day and at night.
Any idea what the problem is? I would love to save a few hundred dollars and try to fix it myself.

Why is my car's engine all of a sudden louder?
It needs a tune up..Does belt tension make any noises in the engine?
Hi this could be caused by a number of thing but sounds like a flat spot in the carborator,or in the ignition timing ie points if any plugs or timing. This is an a elimination process especially with it breaking down while driving.Try sitting at idle and bringing the rev's to about the same as if you where driving on the road and see if it does the same thing. If so try changing the spark plugs .Also ask yourself the last time that any of this has been change ie Plugs, Points,Air filter,Fuel filter good chance this will eliminate a lot of possibilities.let us know how you go.Going by the year also good chance it has no points. One thing very come with all electronic ignitions is spark plug leads tend to wear out quick 12 months normally may look still ok but they start to break down and cause abnormal firing
