Why wont my Dodge durango start?

I ran out of gas I put 4 gallons of gas in it and it still wont start does anyone know why?

Good guess is that the fuel system has air in it.
Towards the back of the engine on top there should be a pressure port for the fuel rail. Will look like a tire valve air valve.
Turn on the key to the run position and listen for the fuel pump to buzz, building up pressure.
Place a rag over your hand and using a small object press open the fuel port, like letting air out of a tire.
Be careful as when fuel makes it up there it will have quite a bit of pressure.
You may have to repeat 2 or 3 times. Once you get a good strong spurt of fuel try to start truck again.

if you kept trying to start it while it was out of gas, then you may have killed your fuel pump. You didn't describe what happens when you try to start the car. Does it try to turn over? Do you hear anything? Does the dash and the dummy lights light up?
