My odometer has gone bad in my car. I'm buying a used insurment cluster. I will have to change the odometer.

If I make changes to the odometer will that be considered illegal. I'm actually have to do this so that the miles add up between the old and new odometer. Is this violating the Odometer fraud act of 72.

you can simply make note of the old reading and the new reading and keed the document with the car you never said what kind of car some of them can be reset ive done it and some can be reset at the dealer if there didigatal and the milage is lower on the used part
