Question:
I have a 1993 toyota camry with 92,000 miles. I need to keep it a couple more years until kids out of college. Now that it is winter I notice that on very cold days the power steering is very difficult to turn--no matter how long I let the car warm up. However, the steering returns to normal in a very short distance---about 1/2 a block or less--it steers fine until I stop and let the car sit for a while. What could this be, and is it safe to drive. I have been parking where I only have to drive straight out and that has worked for now.
what to do if car is frozen and wont start?
thanks, sue

What would short a fusible link?
Check fluid level and belt tension, maybe belt is old and dry, possibly slipping. Is the belt noisy as well?santro and getz service(both are small cars)?
humm, thats odd or in your head. i'd check the power steering fluid. usually if it the power steering fluid is low your car will make a whining hydralylic sound, but even if its not check the fluid level any way. pop the hood and you should see the cap with power steering written on itMore Questions & Answers ...
