Sentra gxe 97?

the steering on my nissan sentra 97 is very hard its hard to make turns and to park is there something wrong with the car or is the sentra steering like that if there is something wrong with it any solutions what it might be?

When/why did they stop putting "points" in cars? I'd always heard the phrase "plugs and points" growing up.

power steering pump may be bad, line may be clogged, rack and pinion may be going out.
