My 94 BMW 525i Beeps continously?

Question:
I am stopping in a read light, then my car started to beep about 10 times (short beeps), then changed to a long, continously beep (never stop). I disconnected the battery, and reconnect after 10 minutes, it still continously beeps (ONE LONG NEVER STOP BEEP). The radio works and the radio volumn is mixed with the high volumn beep.

Is $320 a lot to fix a gasket valve cover?

I have a 91' the beeping is usually caused by the on board computer next to the stereo, you probably have one of the limiters or timers activated (they usually show a little red light next to the category)
