Galaxy ignition relay overheats and car cuts out?

Question:
relay feels hot to touch, car cuts out whiles im driving now and then, i give it a wiggle and car starts again and can go for days without problem happening and then all of a sudden it happens again, does anybody know what it can be as most garages rip woman off just so im a bit more prepared

sounds like the harness may be worn and shorting out on body at certain times, trace harness before you replace relay!
