Question:
in summer is it better to put water to the radiator or the antifreeze liquid?

Cleaning Products, and Wax Products.?
Water actually disappates heat faster but antifreeze keeps lubication to your water pump and keeps it from freezing in the winter time..You can just add water and get away with it as long as there is a bit of anitfreeze in it.Your best bet is to mix a 50/50 blend of the antifreeze water mix.that way you dont have to worry about it come the colder months. In race applications people actually do NOT use antifreeze at all and if they do its only for lubrication purposes. When we go drag racing,we use straight water with an additive such as "water wetter" which keeps the pump lubricated. As i said before, straight water will get rid of heat faster but the engine will also freeze faster in colder months. If your just going to add water be sure to re check your antifreeze in the winter time to see if it will still hold up to freezing temperatures considering you only used water before and no antifreeze.anti freeze.
the already mix formula.
It is always better to use antifreeze.
Maybe it should be called Antifreeze, anti-corrosive, anti-boil, lubricant because it works for all those purposes at the same time.
Water promotes corrosion, freezes faster, boils faster. You want to keep it out of your cooling system.

Its best to not ever go without antifreeze.I have a 1997 CHRYSLER LHS does it sound like the motor is gone?
Antifreeze has corrosion inhibitors that help prevent rust and scale within the cooling system. Water alone will ruin a cooling system very very fast.

Antifreeze is also made from glycol for a reason. This raises the boiling point of normal water so that it can continue to cool a hot engine long after water alone would begin to boil and cause damage to your engine.
How often do a car's ball bearings need to be replaced?
Antifreeze is also antiheat. Not only does it lower the freezing temperature needed to freeze the liquid, the boiling point is also raised well above standard water boiling point. Besides that antifreeze has antirust compounds in it, and also lubricates the waterpump where water does not. What doe sit mean when an engine is bored over?
Water is better than nothing, but antifreeze is better than water. How to replace car thermostat?
Antifreeze prevents rust and corrosion. It does NOT raise the boiling point of 50% water - 50% antifreeze. A 16 lb. pound pressure pressure cap on the radiator raises the boiling point of pure water to +266 degrees Fahrenheit above zero. The same pressure cap raises a 50-50 mix of water and antifreeze to the very same temperature, +266 degrees Fahrenheit.
Consider this: No Nextel Cup car uses ANY antifreeze in their cooling systems. 100% water plus a chemical to make water wetter is the ONLY thing in any of their radiators.
