Do you mean your dome light?? Well your door may not be shut all the way or the door jam switch is bent or going bad.

I'm not usually a car-fixer-person, but maybe one of your doors has something wrong with it. When you hit the bump, it might be that your car's door is moving slightly and it thinks that a door is open, making the "hey, your car's door is on" light (I think it's the dome light) come on.
